Interclean Shanghai visit to the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation (CAUES)

On the 12th of February 2025, the Interclean Shanghai team, represented by Michael Zhang and Finny Ge, visited the Beijing headquarters of CAUES - the China Association of Urban Environmental Sanitation. The primary goal of this meeting was to strengthen the collaboration between the cleaning and sanitation industries, and start shaping plans for Interclean Shanghai 2025.

During their visit, the Interclean team met the President of CAUES Xu Wenlong, along with Vice-President and Secretary-General Liu Jinghao and Zhai Jialiang. Apart from a warm welcome, the conversation covered everything from boosting technology innovation to helping Chinese companies make a bigger mark internationally.

Cleaning and sanitation always go hand in hand. That’s why, by working together, these two industries can drive innovation faster. We believe smart technologies such as autonomous driving for sanitation vehicles and new energy solutions will ultimately reduce environmental impact. And on top of that, this partnership opens up new global opportunities for Chinese companies looking to expand their reach.

Highlights from the conversation

During the meeting, Zhai Jialiang highlighted the success of the China Urban Environmental Sanitation Cleaning Industry Meeting during Interclean Shanghai 2024, noting its domestic and international impact. Zhang Ye emphasized the event's role as a platform for industry collaboration and expressed plans to make it more representative and global. Later on, Xu Wenlong welcomed the delegation and stressed the natural synergy between the sanitation and cleaning industries, proposing deeper cooperation to help Chinese companies expand internationally.
